PLEASE NOTE: The Helen Fowler Library will be closing in spring 2019 to reopen in mid 2020 in the new Freyer – Newman Center.


When is the latest I can check out library materials in anticipation of the library closing? 
February 28 was the last date to check out library materials. Please return all library materials in March 2019.

When is the library closing?
We will keep the current space open as long as scheduling allows. Predictions are late spring, and we will post a date here when it is certain. Intermittent closures are possible.

How can I get library assistance?
During the closure, librarians will continue to be available to answer your questions in person, via telephone or email. Call 720-865-3570 or email You can also visit us in our temporary offices near the Info Desk in early summer.

Where will all of your books go?
The library collections will be safely stored offsite in a climate controlled secure library storage facility.

Where do I return library books?
Please continue to return books to the library or book return.

Can I donate books to the Library?
During this transition, we will not have space to store book donations. Visit us again in 2020 or visit your local public library to make a donation.

Will the library be gaining more space?
Yes, both behind-the-scenes spaces and public spaces will grow. To see for yourself, here’s more information about the Freyer – Newman Center.

Is Gardening Help still available?
Yes! Colorado Master Gardeners will be happy to help you throughout the year.

How do I sign up for your eBooks?
Librarians can set up an account for members. Email with your name and member number, and we’ll write back with more information.

What can I do to help the Library?
The biggest help we currently need is getting books returned. We want to open in 2020 with all of them! The second best way to help is to stay in touch. We’ll send periodic updates if you sign up for our e-newsletter
