Science Studio Programs for Homeschoolers
Program Overview
Science Studio offers families a guided classroom experience to investigate the connections between scientific concepts, the arts and the natural world. Each studio session utilizes a variety of natural materials and art mediums to explore scientific concepts related to the natural world. After exploring the session’s scientific content, students will have the opportunity to get creative with the materials provided.

Tips and Reminders to Help You and Your Child Get the Most Out of the Program
- This program provides a process-based experience which allows children and families to try out different art forms and art mediums. After exploring scientific content, children are provided with a basic introduction to the art materials they will be using. The program encourages children to use their creativity to play around and experiment with creating art.
- Science Studio programs run between 60 and 90 minutes depending on how long your group spends creating their artwork.
- Materials used during the program have the potential to get messy and possibly stain clothing. Please dress in clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.
- We ask that you limit personal phone use during the program. You are welcome to take pictures of your child with your phone as they explore and discover.
To cancel or modify your registration please contact the Member and Visitor Services Resource Center at 720-865-3500. Cancellations more than one week prior to a class are subject to a 15 percent cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than one week’s notice are non-refundable.
EDUCATION AND PROGRAMS CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
- If you or a member of your party is sick, please stay home. Contact the Member and Visitor Services Resource Center at 720-865-3500 within 48 hours of your program for a full refund.
- In the event of severe inclement weather, please call the Gardens’ Weather Advisory Line at 720-865-3620 for information regarding program cancellations.
