Homeschool Day: The Art of Nature

Explore the beauty of the natural world. Become an artist as you use natural materials to create temporary masterpieces, investigate natural dyes and pigments and explore the fascinating tessellations and fractals found in nature. Create a nature print to take home with you.

Homeschool Days offer families the opportunity to explore plant-based themes through a variety of hands-on explorations and take-home projects that children and their grown ups complete together. These self-guided and self-paced programs are set up with several activity stations throughout the Gardens for families to explore the day's topic.

Date and Time: April 13, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Check in for the program is between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Activity station are open for exploration between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Fee: $16 non member child; $14 member child; One adult per child is free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings ages 3 and up are $7 each. Non-participating siblings do not participate in take home activities.

Location: York Street; Depending on the weather and time of year, Homeschool Day activity stations can be located both indoors and outdoors. Come prepared to spend time indoors and outdoors. 

Audience: Families with children ages 6 - 10 years

Cancellations: Cancellations more than one week prior to a class are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than one week's notice are non-refundable.
