At Chatfield Farms we grow more than 100 varieties of vegetables and herbs and partner with local producers to offer additional shares such as eggs and fruit. The amount of produce builds from greens, roots and herbs in spring to a considerable haul in summer and early fall.
The 2023 CSA season will include 21 weeks of vegetables and herbs grown at Chatfield Farms available for pickup on Thursdays from June 1 through October 19, 2023, at either Chatfield Farms or the York Street Gardens.
Our 2023 shares are SOLD OUT. If you would like to be added to the 2024 waitlist, please join the CSA waitlist. We will contact you in 2024 when CSA shares become available.

Volunteer Shareholder
We offer a volunteer shareholder position for shareholders who would like to take their commitment to a higher level with the CSA. "Working Shares," or volunteer shareholders, are asked to support the CSA by being out in the field harvesting or distributing vegetables for three hours a week (a total of 60 hours for the duration of the season). Keep in mind that these volunteer positions can be physically demanding.
- You must first purchase a small or full share with the Chatfield Farms CSA.
- We anticipate shares selling out each season.
- You must be onboarded as a Denver Botanic Gardens volunteer to receive the Volunteer Shareholder discount. If you are interested in joining our volunteer program, please submit our volunteer program interest form and our volunteer services team will be in touch and guide you through the onboarding steps and requirements. Current Gardens volunteers who are interested in getting involved with the Chatfield Farms CSA or in becoming a volunteer shareholder can visit our Volunteer on the Farm page for information.
Additional Shares
You must purchase a Vegetable Share to access other share types.
We partner with local producers to support the Colorado agricultural economy and provide you with more options for good, local food and artisan products. Shareholders are required to purchase a vegetable and herb share in order to sign up for additional shares. Each share is a 20-week commitment, with advance payment required.
CSA Benefits for All Shareholders

Split Payments Option
To make the cost more manageable, we provide an optional payment plan to split the cost into equal payments throughout the season at the beginning of each month.
