Homestead Cooking Series at Plains Conservation Center

Take a step back in time and learn how to incorporate traditional homesteading techniques in your own kitchen. Each session will focus on a new topic with a full schedule listed below:

April - Cinnamon Rolls


The smell of warm cinnamon rolls on a winter day will chase away even the most blustery of winds. When cooked on a wood burning stove in a prairie soddie, the experience is amazing. Discuss various flour substitutions while the rolls bake then enjoy the cinnamon bread and a cup of coffee or tea.
