Science Studio inspires children to investigate the connections between scientific concepts, the arts and their natural world. Each Studio program delves into a different discipline of sciences associated with the natural world. Each session provides learners with the opportunity for hands-on investigations experiments and more. Programs are designed for children 7-10.
Family Make and Take Programs
Family Make and Take Programs offer a space for children and their grownups to connect with natural materials and create together. These self-guided and self-paced programs are designed to provide a creative environment that sparks imagination. The Gardens' provides the space and supplies. You and your family provide the ideas and creativity! Programs designed for families with children 5 and up.
Workshops offer families a hands-on guided opportunity to learn about the science and enchantment behind the plants in our everyday lives. Workshops include a guided exploration of the natural world and hands-on projects for grownups and children to create together while exploring the natural world. Programs are designed for families with children ages 6-10.
Family Fun Nights
Family Fun Nights are a unique opportunity to explore Mordecai Children’s Garden after hours. Each Family Fun Night includes performers on Sagebrush Stage, activities in the garden, snacks and other fun night time activities. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy in the Children’s Garden.
