Internships Overview

The application deadline for 2020 horticulture-related internships was Friday, Feb. 14, 2020. You may contact our Human Resources department for information about 2021 horticulture-related internships.

  • Horticulture – The summer horticulture internships are designed for students pursuing a career in the field of public horticulture or related field. Students have the opportunity put their classroom learning to work in real-world situations and obtain valuable hands-on work experience.
  • Plant Records – Keeping accurate records on the many thousands of plants in the gardens is vital in a public garden. Denver Botanic Gardens’ summer Plant Records internship allows students to participate in this critical function.

We offer internships for academic credit and occasionally paid internships. Past internships have focused on conservation genetics, long-term monitoring of rare plants, botanical surveys and collection management. Contact for current opportunities.
