Horticulture-Related Internships

Opportunities are posted here or you may contact our Human Resources department for information or an application. The application deadline for 2019 horticulture-related internships is Friday, February 8, 2019.

  • Horticulture – The summer Horticulture Internships are designed for students pursuing a career in the field of public horticulture or related field. Students have the opportunity put their classroom learning to work in real-world situations and obtain valuable hands-on work experience.
  • Plant Records – Keeping accurate records on the many thousands of plants in the gardens is vital in a public garden. Denver Botanic Gardens’ summer Plant Records internship allows students to participate in this critical function.

  • We offer internships for academic credit and occasionally paid internships. Please contact us at research@botanicgardens.org for current opportunities. Past internships have focused on conservation genetics, long-term monitoring of rare plants, botanical surveys and collection management.

Art, Exhibitions & Interpretation Internships

  • Year-round opportunities are available for academic credit in our Art, Exhibitions & Interpretation department. Internships focus on art exhibition research & development, evaluation, collections management, and docent tour development and coordination. Contact exhibits@botanicgardens.org for an application.
