Seedlings: A Log's Life

Look closely as we examine what happens to a tree when it becomes a log on the forest floor.  Discover what lives in, under and around a fallen log as we take a walk through the Gardens and explore logs both big and small.


Ages 3-6 years: Wednesday, April 1, 9:15 - 10 a.m. or 10:30 - 11:15 a.m.


Ages 24-36 months: Thursday, April 2, 9:15 - 10 a.m. or 10:30 - 11:15 a.m.


Ages 18-24 months: Friday, April 3, 9:15 - 10 a.m. or 10:30 - 11:15 a.m.


Seedlings classes offer a fun, hands-on way for young children to explore the plant world while developing an understanding and appreciation for plants and their importance. Programs include stories, nature walks and art projects.


Fee: $13 per toddler/preschooler, $11 per toddler/preschooler member; one adult per child is admitted free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings should purchase or reserve general admission tickets.


Location: York Street; Seedlings programs have indoor and outdoor components. Participants should come prepared to spend time both outdoors and indoors.


Audience: Families with children ages 18 months to 6 years


Cancellations: Cancellations more than one week prior to a class are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than one week’s notice are non-refundable.
