Seedlings: Garden Detectives
Discover the Gardens with the tools of a detective as you become a garden sleuth. Use your senses to discover natural clues and hidden treasures throughout the Gardens.
Ages 3-6 years: Wednesday, December 8, 9:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Ages 24-36 months: Thursday, December 9, 9:15 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
Ages 18-24 months: Friday, December 10, 9:15 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
Seedlings classes offer a fun, hands-on way for young children to explore the plant world while developing an understanding and appreciation for plants and their importance. Programs include stories, nature walks and art projects.
Program Location: Fall and winter Seedlings programs take place outdoors as the weather allows. On days with wet weather or colder temperatures, all or portions of the program may be moved indoors as needed without prior notice.
Audience: Families with children ages 18 months to 6 years
Program Fee: $10 nonmember toddler or preschooler, $8 toddler or preschooler; one adult per child is admitted free of charge.
The following safety procedures and requirements are in place for attending onsite classes during COVID-19:
Non-vaccinated adults and children 3 and over are strongly encouraged to wear masks. Mask requirements are subject to change as needed in response to the changes in COVID-19 pandemic.
Class sizes are reduced to follow social distancing protocols. Sharing of materials between participant groups is limited. Workspaces and materials used during the program are disinfected frequently.
