Mindfulness for Everyday Life

Each session focuses on a particular subject of mindfulness with the intention of training attention, focus and awareness and to achieve a clear mind and emotional calm. The class consists of a teaching component and an experiential meditation with time for Q&A. Participants of the class are encouraged to continue with the practice that was taught for the month until the next meeting.

June: When Stress Lives in the Body - Calming the Nervous System Through Mindful Awareness

Chronic stress doesn’t just live in the mind: It settles into the body and nervous system, often showing up as tension, fatigue, irritability, difficulty sleeping or feeling constantly “on edge.” In this meditation workshop, learn how ongoing stress affects the nervous system and physical body and how simple, accessible mindfulness practices can help restore a sense of safety, regulation and ease. Through education, guided awareness and calming meditation, discover practical tools to support your nervous system health and overall well-being.

August: Emotional Centering - Responding Instead of Reacting

In moments of stress, conflict or overwhelm, it is easy to react automatically from emotion rather than respond with clarity. This class explores how mindfulness helps us recognize emotional triggers, pause before reacting and return to a grounded inner center. Participants learn practical tools to navigate difficult emotions with greater awareness, self-compassion and steadiness. Through guided reflection and meditation, discover how to respond to life’s challenges with calm intention instead of impulsive reaction.

November: Mindfulness in Daily Life - Small Practices, Big Change

Mindfulness does not require hours of meditation or a perfectly quiet life. This class explores simple, realistic ways to bring mindfulness into everyday routines such as work, conversations, eating, walking and transitions throughout the day. Learn how small moments of presence can reduce stress, improve focus and create a greater sense of balance and well-being. Through practical tools and guided practice, discover how consistent small habits can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
