Homeschool Day: Pollination

Explore how pollinators help Denver Botanic Gardens grow. Learn how the Gardens depends on pollinators as you discover the relationships between plants and pollinators. Become a pollinator protector as you learn how to help pollinators and plant a pollination station to take home with you.

 

Homeschool Days offer families the opportunity to explore plant-based themes through a variety of hands-on explorations and take-home projects that children and their grown ups complete together. These self-guided and self-paced programs are set up with several activity stations throughout the Gardens for families to explore the day's topic.

 

Program Location: Weather depending, activity stations will be located both indoors and outdoors. Check in for the program is between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Activity station are open for exploration between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

 

Audience: Families with children ages 6 - 10 years

 

Price: $14 non-member; $12 per day per child; One adult per child is free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings ages 3 and up are $7 each.

 

Registration Instructions: Please use the Adult Ticket option to register the free adult(s) and the additional people ticket option to register additional adults and non-participating siblings ages 3 and up. Non-participating siblings do not participate in take-home activities.

 

Cancellations: Cancellations more than one week prior to a class are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than one week's notice are non-refundable.
