Animals of the Prairie for Daisies at Plains Conservation Center

The prairie is home to a surprising variety of wildlife. In this interactive Daisy program, participants discover animals that live in the shortgrass prairie ecosystem, from burrowing prairie dogs to soaring birds of prey.

Scouts examine animal biofacts, explore how prairie animals are adapted to survive in this environment, and learn about the important roles they play in the ecosystem. Through hands-on activities and observation, scouts gain a deeper understanding of the wildlife that calls the prairie home.
