Adventures in Zoological Illustration

Visit the Denver Zoo to draw a variety of animal species from life. In an outdoor classroom, study the internal muscular and skeletal structure shared by all mammals to better understand the visible characteristics unique to each species, and the structures that may be hiding beneath the surface. Learn skills to quickly collect information needed to produce a finished zoological plate, including taking reference photos and videos and conducting research online to gain a thorough understanding of the species.
