Achieving Realism with David Morrison

Renowned colored pencil artist David Morrison returns to Denver for a special three-day in-person workshop. Working from live botanical subjects, participants will learn the grisaille method of developing an under drawing with colored pencils, followed by adding multiple layers to create brilliant luminous color and pop-off-the-paper three-dimensionality. Class demonstrations and individual critiques will strengthen your understanding of this lovely technique.

Prerequisites: Experience with colored pencil required. Recommended for intermediate to advanced botanical illustration students.
