Presented as part of Math in Bloom, Infinity Day invites visitors of all ages to discover how mathematics can help us see nature in new ways.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy drop-in activities, creative experiences and conversations with experts and enthusiasts throughout the Gardens.
Activities include:
- Mathematical musical explorations with Playground Ensemble
- Meet a mathematician: see the math behind nature’s beauty
- Highlighted plant displays celebrating mathematical patterns
- Tree-ring printmaking inspired by the patterns and histories held within trees
- Nature- and math-inspired story time with the Helen Fowler Library
- Terrarium-making demonstration
- Register for free guided tours exploring patterns, cycles and mathematical systems in nature
- Science Chats
Activities are included with general admission unless otherwise noted and locations are subject to change.
Infinity Day is supported by the Simons Foundation and is part of its Infinite Sums initiative, presented in collaboration with botanic gardens across the country.
