Watershed Summit

Wednesday, June 17, 1-5 p.m.

The Watershed Summit, or “Shed” as it is affectionately known, has become a Colorado tradition. Each June stakeholders gather to discuss current and future water challenges and opportunities facing the state. Shed ’26 is a fully in-person event at Denver Botanic Gardens, concluding with the ever-popular happy hour event. A special add-on morning event features a panel and discussion on One Water.

This event is produced through a collaborative partnership between the One World One Water Center (a joint initiative of Metropolitan State University of Denver and Denver Botanic Gardens), Aurora Water, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, Denver Water and Resource Central.

Science-Art Symposium: The Nature of Health

Sept. 17 & 18

The Nature of Health is a multidisciplinary science and art symposium exploring how creative practice, the natural world and ecological vitality shape human health and wellbeing. Bringing together artists, scientists, health practitioners and cultural leaders, the symposium examines health as an interconnected system—one that depends on both human creativity and the health of the environments we inhabit.

Here is the Call for Sessions submission form. Deadline for submission has been extended to Wednesday, April 15.

The symposium centers on three core themes:

  • Art and Health
How the arts foster emotional wellbeing, resilience, connection and collective care—supporting mental, physical and social health across communities.
  • Nature and Health
How time spent in nature—gardens, forests, wetlands and urban green spaces—supports psychological restoration, physical vitality and overall wellbeing.
  • Health of Nature
How biodiversity and healthy ecosystems are essential to sustaining life, highlighting stewardship, conservation and reciprocal relationships with the living world.

Through keynotes, interdisciplinary panels, artistic interventions and shared dialogue, The Nature of Health invites participants to reimagine health as a shared responsibility—nurtured through creativity, connection to nature and care for the planet.
