High-Yield Edible Gardening - Certification Short Course

If you have developed a love for gardening and are ready to level up your skills and increase your yields, this course is for you! Growing a productive and bountiful edible garden is possible here on the Front Range; it just requires a little more effort. Learn how to optimize your garden space, eat from the garden year-round and cultivate healthy living soil that will improve with every passing season.

Denver Botanic Gardens and Colorado Kitchen Gardens have partnered to develop this exciting new certificate course. In this program, we will go beyond the basic gardening strategies and take a deep dive into the practices that allow you to get much more from your garden. In this course, you will learn the five pillars of high-yield organic gardening (location, irrigation, soil, structures & plants), regional strategies for more success in the garden and what garden tasks need to be tackled every month of the year.

This is a hybrid course with in-person classes as well as self-guided coursework. Students receive 13 hours of instruction over three weeks. Following the course, participants will receive a certificate in High-Yield Edible Gardening.
