Experience the exclusive opportunity to meet an extensive cast of live raptors and learn about their journeys, talk with REF handlers and ask questions. No other raptor group in Colorado comes close to REF’s level of knowledge, experience and creativity. This program is great for all ages, families and homeschool groups.

REF has been promoting environmental literacy since 1980 by providing unique innovative programs and seminars that connect people with the natural world. They utilize an extensive cast of live, non-releasable raptors to educate the public about environmental issues. REF has field experience in Europe, Asia, North and South America and Australia.

Included with admission:

  • 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. open viewing in Mitchell Hall
    • Two presentations about REF’s non-releasable raptors are given in Mitchell Hall from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 
    • “Denver’s Downtown Peregrines” film shows every 20 minutes in Sturm Family Auditorium  

Free admission:

  • Join us in the Helen Fowler Library for owl story time at 10:45 a.m. Owl crafts are available in the library from 10 a.m. – noon. The Helen Fowler Library is free and open to the public. Admission to the Gardens is separate.
