The Gardens’ signature event for over three decades, this annual holiday lights extravaganza transforms our York Street location into a twinkling winter wonderland. With fresh and exciting new features, along with some fan favorites, this year’s display is brighter and more expansive than ever before. Members have access to two complimentary tickets to attend Blossoms of Light. A postcard with information about redeeming complimentary member tickets was mailed in mid-November. Tickets are limited each night. Redeem in advance to ensure admittance on your desired date. For questions, call the Membership Department at 720-865-3500.

What are the best nights to visit Blossoms of Light?
The display is beautiful every night! We anticipate selling out in advance for most weekend nights, as well as every night in the last two weeks of December. If your schedule allows, we recommend visiting on a weeknight in the first two weeks of December. Also, snowy nights may be cold, but they make for great photos!
May I use my tickets on any night of Blossoms of Light?
No, please attend Blossoms of Light on the date you purchased your tickets for. If your plans change, email email@example.com or call 720-865-3500 to inquire about an exchange. No exchanges can be made less than three days prior to your ticket date.
Why are there timed tickets?
By staggering the arrival of our visitors, we hope to provide a better visitor experience. Once inside the Gardens, visitors may stay until the event closes.
When should I buy my tickets?
We highly recommend purchasing tickets as far in advance as you can as we anticipate selling out most nights of Blossoms of Light. Peak dates may sell out several days or even weeks in advance.
If tickets are sold out online, will there be tickets available at the door?
No, there will not be tickets available for sale at the door on sold out nights.
May I redeem my complimentary member tickets for sold out dates?
No, complimentary member tickets cannot be redeemed for sold out dates. There are not additional tickets set aside for members.
Why is there a limit on the number of people who can attend each night?
We’ve placed a limit on attendance each evening to provide a better experience for guests by preventing extremely large crowds on any given night.
If the Gardens close at 4 p.m. every day of Blossoms of Light, can I still buy tickets or visit the Shop at the Gardens?
The Bonfils-Stanton Visitor Center does not offer Blossoms of Light ticket sales from 4-5 p.m. Ticket sales for Blossoms of Light will begin at 5 p.m. Guests are able to purchase tickets online if they wish during this time. The Visitor Center and the Shop will remain open. No guests will be permitted entry into the Gardens past the Visitor Center between 4-5 p.m.
Is there parking?
Free parking is available in our parking structure. However, parking in the structure is limited and fills quickly. Parking in the surrounding neighborhood is restricted on some streets; please check street signs. All parked vehicles are required to have a current residential parking permit on streets where restrictions are posted on the dates listed. Denver Botanic Gardens is not responsible for parking tickets or towing fees. Consider these alternate modes of transportation to avoid parking issues:
What forms of payment will be accepted?
Cash and credit cards are accepted. There is no ATM onsite.
What kind of clothes should I wear?
Blossoms of Light is an outdoor event. Though the path is concrete, we suggest wearing shoes with good traction. Please come prepared for the weather conditions.
Is there a coat check?
How long does it take to walk around the path?
It takes 25-60 minutes to see the whole display.
Is Blossoms of Light ADA accessible?
Yes, but keep in mind that the paths may be icy in spots. Please use caution. Wheelchair-accessible parking is available.
Are there wheelchairs or strollers available onsite?
Starting at 5 p.m., a limited quantity of wheelchairs and strollers can be checked out at the Information Desk in the Boettcher Memorial Center and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations are accepted.
Are there any photography restrictions at Blossoms of Light?
Camera tripods may not be used, though monopods are permitted. Professional portrait photography permits cannot be purchased for Blossoms of Light and are not allowed. View our York Street Photo Policy for questions about what types of photography is permitted. We’d love to see your personal photos on social media! Use #BlossomsofLight when you post.
Will any areas of the Gardens be closed during Blossoms of Light?
The Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory and Mordecai Children’s Garden are not open during Blossoms of Light. The Orangery and the balcony of Marnie’s Pavilion are open but may be closed to the public during certain hours when hosting a private event. Specific gardens are not included as part of the Blossoms of Light pathway and are closed off from entry during the event.
Are pets allowed at Blossoms of Light?
Pets are not permitted at this event. Service dogs/animals are allowed.
