Hopefully you’ve enjoyed some of the monthly self-guided walking tours we post here, but did you know that you can join a tour led by a docent volunteer guide or a staff member? These one-hour tours cover a variety of different topics ranging from medicinal plants to container gardens. Small-group conversations give you the opportunity to ask questions, share your thoughts, experience perennial favorites and uncover lesser-known spaces. Our upcoming tours are described below. At this time, tours are only outdoors, limited to five participants and everyone must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth.

Staff-Led Tours: Garden Guru Explore Denver Botanic Gardens’ living museum in the company of an expert horticulturist who shares their wealth of knowledge about plants and gardening in Colorado.

Medicinal Plants – July 22 at 10 a.m., Blake Burger, Specialty Horticulturist

Fall Garden Preparation – September 15 at 9:30 a.m., Mike Bone, Curator of Steppe Collections

Docent-Led Tours: Container Gardens Explore the variety of fun and unexpected container gardens at the Gardens with a docent-led tour, and learn how to create your own edible, fragrant or pollinator-attracting containers. August 14 and September 13 at 5 p.m.

Seasonal Discoveries Botanical treasures await your discovery with these guided tours of gardens at their seasonal peaks, whether the delightful new blossoms of spring or the crackling beauty of fall. August 1, 16 and 29 at 10 a.m.; September 20 at 2 p.m.; October 4 and 10 at 2 p.m.

Private Group Tours: You can also contact us to book a private tour for your group (minimum of five people). Select from tour options based on your group’s needs and interests. We can accommodate groups with specific language or other needs with sufficient notice.
