Perennials are the mainstay of almost any garden, even a water smart garden. There are literally hundreds of perennials that will thrive with a minimum of supplemental water. Many of those hundreds will be introduced in a slide presentation showing the complete plant in its prime. Along with each plant picture we'll learn about its growing conditions and characteristics.

David Winger is an avid gardener, has participated in Plant Select®, attended the Master Gardener classes twice, spent a lot of time identifying Great Basin plants in his pursuit of a forestry and range management degree, co-authored two Xeriscape books. He has dedicated the past 16 years to promoting the concept of Xeriscape for Denver Water. He is obsessed with photographing plants because it is the only way to appreciate a plant's beauty for longer than its short bloom time. His photographs have been published all over the world.
