Paola is the owner of Sage Creations Farm and The Atrium in Palisade, Colorado. Sage Creations Farm started with a lavender in 2006 and has grown into a 15-acre farm, with more than six acres of lavender featuring three species and more than 60 cultivars. This lavender is used in essential oils, lavender-inspired home décor, bath and body products, and lavender plant starts.
For the last 17 years, Paola has been trialing different species and cultivars of lavender to see which is best suited for the Colorado climate and its different growing zones. She has worked with numerous growers throughout Colorado, the Southwest and across the country. Lavender enthusiasts and new lavender growers have traveled across the country to participate in her Lavender Grower 101 class. Her lavender plugs and plants have been sold throughout the U.S. She recently released the comprehensive guide “Lavender for All Seasons: A Gardner’s Guide to Growing and Creating with Lavender Year-Round”, which can be found in bookstores and online.
