Blooms & Buttercream: Beginner Cake Decorating

Whether you are brand new to cake decorating or just looking to build your skills, this hands-on class is the perfect place to start. Sessions will focus on cake or cupcake decorating. No prior experience necessary, all tools and ingredients provided. Great for individuals, friends, or date night. Come ready to learn, create and have fun with cake! Cupcakes: Learn how to turn simple cupcakes into edible works of art! In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants explore a variety of decorating techniques using buttercream, piping tips and fruit or floral toppings. Be guided through the basic frosting styles, how to use piping bags and nozzles and easy ways to add flair with color, texture and decoration. Take home a box of beautifully decorated cupcakes - created by you!

Mini Cakes: In this beginner-friendly workshop, learn the basics of cake decorating while working on your very own mini cake. Be guided through fundamental techniques like leveling, filling, crumb coating and frosting, as well as practicing simple piping techniques and learning to decorate with florals and fruit. Each participant leaves with a beautifully decorated mini cake and the confidence to keep practicing!

Morgan Bennett aka Lil Bergamot, is a local baker who uses compotes and florals to enhance their baked goods. Morgan has spent a lot of time foraging and baking in the wilderness in Alaska for wildlife photographers whose primary focus is capturing bears in their natural habitat. Ask Morgan anything bear or cake related, as they are an expert.
