Benefits of Planting Native
Colorado’s native plants have received a lot more attention in recent years, and for good reason! Native landscapes typically offer great water savings compared to traditional landscapes. Native plants are more resilient in the face of climate change and have reduced maintenance and inputs. They regenerate area biodiversity, provide optimal food for wildlife, and much needed habitat. Our prairie plants are a major source of carbon sequestration and play a role in cleaning local water and air supplies.
This course fulfills one elective requirement for the Rocky Mountain Gardening full series certificate program.
