Botanical Illustration for Beginners

Your botanical illustration journey begins here! This class is a window into the methods and materials used in botanical illustration. Students receive a brief overview of the history and techniques used to create precise renderings with scientific value. Dissect a flower and look closely to learn multi-sensory, basic botany from a primary source. Simple drawing exercises will use graphite, colored pencil, watercolor and micron pens. No art experience required.
