True to Form: Botanical Art and Illustration

This two-day juried exhibition features artworks created by students in Denver Botanic Gardens’ School of Botanical Art & Illustration.

True to Form highlights the complex visual language of the natural world, showcasing its incredible variety of shapes, colors and textures within six thematic categories: hairy, spiky, shiny, striped, spotted and multicolored. The exhibition celebrates botanical illustration, the venerated tradition that portrays the beauty of nature for scientific purposes. From the patterns of multicolored leaves to the vibrant hues of a hummingbird, explore the visual feast offered by the diversity of life.
