Garden Camps for Kids

The Gardens has camps for kids only that are full of garden explorations, games, activities, mindfulness and plants to take home.

Registration for 2022 spring and summer camps at the Gardens’ York Street and Chatfield Farms locations will open on Monday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. MT. Members of the Gardens will have early access to camp registration on Thursday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. MT. Registration link will be posted on this webpage. Once registered, you have 2 weeks to complete all required camper forms in our camp family portal. You will receive a link to log into your existing family portal or create a new family profile in your initial booking confirmation email.

Program fee: $300 per week non-members, $275 per week members

We encourage you to join the waitlist for sold out weeks; the camp team will contact waitlisted families in case of cancellations or if we are able to open additional spots.

Denver Botanic Gardens is taking all necessary precautions to make sure your child has a safe and fun camp experience while adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols.

  • Groups sizes are reduced and limited for each camp.
  • Information about spring and summer camps may change as we adapt our programming in response to state and municipal guidelines.

Garden Camps at York Street

Grow your mind, plant a new friend and dig into the Gardens with our week-long day camps. Each camp contains a variety of activities that allow you to discover the world of plants through art, science, gardening and outdoor exploration. No after-care is available in 2022.

 

Spring Break Garden Camp

Spring Into Gardening, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., March 28 – April 1
Here at the Gardens we’re pollen in love with spring! Join us to look for signs of spring in nature and plant early blooming flowers to take home.

 

York Street Summer Garden Camps

Ready, Set…Grow! 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 13-17 or July 11-15
Ready, set, grow your love of plants! In this week of gardening 101, we learn all about what plants need to thrive. Help us take care of our gardens and plant your own mini garden to take home.

Potions and Plants, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 20-24 or July 18-22
Get lost in the mystical world of plants. Explore plant mythologies around the world, craft botanical concoctions and plant a magical mini garden to take home.

Art in the Garden, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 27 – July 1 or July 25-29
Spruce up your art skills while you mold and sculpt your love of nature. Explore art exhibitions throughout the Gardens and discover connections between plants, art and science.

 

Chatfield Farms Summer Farm Camps

Join us for a week on the farm to dig in the dirt, meet farm animals and connect with nature while learning about the daily rhythms outside of the city. Each day you will make new discoveries on the farm through art, science, gardening and outdoor exploration. All Farm Camps take place at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms in Littleton. No after-care is available at Chatfield Farms.
 
Pollinator Palooza, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 13-17 or July 11-15
We are all a buzz to learn about pollinators, from bees to bats, butterflies to hummingbirds and everything in between. Spend the week exploring the habitats along the banks of Deer Creek and beyond and discover why pollinators are so important to life on the farm.

Global Gardens, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 20-24 or July 18-22
Take a trip to pastures near and far. Through nature explorations, science and art learn all about farming and food from diverse cultures around the world. Plant a mini garden of global crops to take home.

Life on the Farm, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 27 – July 1 or July 25-29 
Explore the Hildebrand Ranch and learn about life on a farm. Meet our farm animals, learn what it takes to make vegetables grow and discover how everything we eat is connected to the farm.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations more than three weeks prior to the start of camp are subject to a 15 percent cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than three weeks notice are non-refundable. Cancellations due to COVID-19 may be eligible for a refund; email gardencamp@botanicgardens.org with questions.
