Garden Camps for Kids

The Gardens offers camps for kids ages 6-12 only that are full of exploration, games, activities, mindfulness and plants to take home.

Registered families must complete all required camper forms in our camp family portal by March 1, 2024 to secure enrollment in camp. You will receive a link to log into your existing family portal or create a new family profile in your initial booking confirmation email. Email gardencamp@botanicgardens.org with questions.

Program fee: $300 per week

 

Summer Farm Camps and all Garden Camps sold out in record time. Rather than waitlists, this year any open spots for camp will go back on sale. Please check our catalog periodically for any open spots. Space is still available in spring camp at Chatfield Farms.

Farm Camps at Chatfield Farms

Join us for a week on the farm to dig in the dirt, meet farm animals and connect with nature while learning about the daily rhythms outside of the city. Each day, make new discoveries on the farm through art, science, gardening and outdoor exploration. All Farm Camps take place at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms in Littleton. No aftercare is available at Chatfield Farms.

Sensational Seasons
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., March 18-22
Journey through all four seasons of the year with us. Uncover what makes each season special by exploring the plants and animals that thrive during that time of year.

 

Chatfield Farms Summer Camps

Wonders of Wildlife
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 10-14 or July 8-12
Discover the wonders of animal wildlife on the farm. With each day focusing on a different type of animal, campers learn how and why our furry, scaly and feathery friends are essential for any healthy habitat.

Farm-ologies
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 17-21 or July 15-19
Put on your science lab coat as we explore the different branches of science that make farming possible. From geology to meteorology and lots in between, conduct experiments to become the best farmer.

Life on the Farm
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 24-28 or July 22-26 
Explore the Hildebrand Ranch and learn about what life was like living on a farm in the past. Dig into what farming looks like today and imagine where farming might go in the future.

 

Garden Camps at York Street

Grow your mind, plant a new friend and dig into the Gardens with our week-long day camps. Each camp contains a variety of activities that allow you to discover the world of plants through art, science, gardening and outdoor exploration. No aftercare is available in 2024.

 

Spring Break Camp at York Street

Encompassing Nature 
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., March 25-29
Learn how to use nature to guide us in the wild as we explore the Gardens looking for secret signs and messages from our natural surroundings. Plant a mini terrarium to take home.

 

York Street Summer Garden Camps

Plants 101
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 10-14 or July 8-12
Explore plants from tiny moss to giant trees and everything in between. In this week of camp, we learn all about what plants need to thrive. Help us take care of our gardens and plant your own mini garden to take home.

Global Gardens
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 17-21 or July 15-19
Travel around the world each day as we explore internationally inspired gardens. Discover unique plants from faraway lands, plant uses in different cultures and how plants inspire art. Design your own mini garden to take home.

Enchanted Ecology
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 24-28 or July 22-26
Get lost in the mystical world of plants and animals while creating nature-inspired artworks. Explore mythological flora and fauna, hone your artistic skills and plant a magical mini garden to take home.

 

Scholarships: We are no longer accepting scholarship applications for 2024 Garden and Farm Camps. 

 

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations before May 1, 2024 are subject to a 15 percent cancellation fee. Cancellations after May 1, 2024 are non-refundable.
