STEM in the Gardens Hybrid ONLINE Course
Bring a little STEM into your classroom curriculum using inquiry methods to teach a variety of subjects using the Gardens as a resource. Some of the topics we will be exploring are the use of citizen apps, phenology and plant adaptations and how these relate to climate change. This is a hybrid course, offered online with an optional visit to the Denver Botanic Gardens. If opting out of the onsite portion, an alternate assignment will be required to receive credit. Appropriate for grades 5 - 12 teachers.
ONLINE dates: Tuesday, June 30th 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. AND Thursday, July 2nd 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Optional onsite dates: Tuesday, July 7th OR Thursday, July 9th (time TBD)
Price: $55 member, $65 nonmember
0.5 semester credit hours with $40 tuition fee from Colorado School of Mines
