Private Guided Family Hike at Plains Conservation Center
Explore the natural beauty of the prairie with an experienced guide. Your family can choose which area of the property you explore while you learn about prairie ecology, wildlife and history at the Plains Conservation Center. Hikes last approximately 90 minutes and are limited to up to 4 individuals from the same household. Participants should arrive prepared to walk up to 2 miles round-trip and bring layers, sunscreen, hats, water, cameras, and if you have them, field guides and binoculars. Binoculars will be available to borrow if you don't have your own to bring, and will be sanitized before and after each use.
All ages are welcome; please note that there are unpaved paths, uneven ground, no shade and hikes are all on foot.
Program Fee: $20 for up to 4 individuals from the same household.
Registration Instructions: Pre-registration is required. Program registration will not be available onsite. Due to social distancing and group size restrictions you must register all members of your party.
The following safety procedures and requirements are in place for attending onsite classes at the Plains Conservation Center during COVID-19: All adults and children ages 3 and older are required to wear a mask. Only individuals from the same household may register for this program. Maximum number of registrants per program is 4.
