Homeschool Day: Paleobotany

Explore the plants of Colorados past and become a paleobotanist for a day. Learn how fossils are formed, examine the links between prehistoric and modern plants, and discover why learning about ancient climates helps scientists make predictions about our modern world.

 

Homeschool Days offer families the opportunity to explore plant-based themes through a variety of hands-on explorations and take-home projects that families can do together. Each Homeschool Day offers several activity stations set up throughout the Gardens for families to explore. Activities are designed for children ages 6 to 10 years.

 

Audience: Homeschool Families with Children ages 6-10

 

Price: $14 non-member; $12 per day per child; One adult per child is free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings ages 3 and up are $7 each. Please use the Adult Ticket option to register the free adult(s) and the additional people ticket option to register additional adults and non-participating siblings ages 3 and up. Non-participating siblings do not participate in take-home activities.

 

Program Location: Activity stations will be located indoors.

 

Cancellations: Cancellations more than one week prior to a class are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than one week's notice are non-refundable.
