Family Make and Take: Winter Wreaths

Create a seasonal wreath using wintry colors, pinecones, evergreen boughs and more! After you complete your wreath, bundle up and stroll around the Gardens with a scavenger hunt that explores the common varieties of evergreens onsite.


Family Make and Take programs offer a space for children and their grownups to connect with natural materials and create together. These self-guided and self-paced programs are designed to provide a creative environment that sparks imagination. The Gardens provides the space and supplies. You and your family provide the ideas and creativity!


Program Location: Weather depending, this program will take place outdoors. In the event of weather that prohibits the confortable use of our outdoor spaces, you have the choice of working in our indoor workspace or taking the materials home with you to complete your project.


Audience: Materials provided are appropriate for families with children ages 5 and up.


Price: $15 per project fee non-members; $12 per project fee members. Each project fee includes one undecorated wreath form and access to a variety of natural and manmade materials to use for decoration.


Registration Instructions: The number of project fees should equal the number of people making an individual wreath. You will be asked to provide the number of adults and the number children who will be part of your group during the check out process. The project fee includes admission to the Gardens for your family group.
