Guided Exploration: Nature and Art (Grades K-12)

Mondays and Thursdays throughout the school year
10-11 a.m., 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., and 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Did you know the Gardens is a living museum that celebrates art in addition to plants? Come discover the Gardens through the eyes of an artist. Learn art concepts and vocabulary while exploring the sculptures and artwork on display.

Drop-In Program

Family Drop-in Art Exploration

Select mornings, June through August; Free with admission

Families can discover how art intersects with nature while exploring the sculptures of Mike Whiting. Families will learn about the artist and his creative process by participating in a hands-on creative project. Activities include building temporary life-sized sculptures and creating miniature cubed sculptures. Activities available during the drop-in exploration vary by date. Recommended for families with children ages 5-12.
