ETHNE CLARKE is an award-winning journalist, former garden editor of Traditional Home and contributing editor for House & Garden. The author of best-selling books on practical gardening, design and landscape history, she holds a Master of Philosophy from the Faculty of Fine Art, De Montfort University, England. Her research has involved a close study of architectural history between the Arts and Crafts period and early Modernism, and this has been a guiding influence on the renovation of her house and garden in Colorado Springs—a small, mid-century modern ranch built in 1958.
BJORN L. BJORHOLM is the owner of Eisei-en Bonsai Garden in Nashville, TN. He’s a bonsai artist and instructor who spent six years as an apprentice under Master Keiichi Fujikawa at Kouka-en bonsai nursery in Osaka, Japan before receiving certification as a bonsai professional by the Nippon Bonsai Association. He continued on as an artist-in-residence at Kouka-en for three years, making him the first and only foreign-born working bonsai professional in Japan. During his time in Japan, Bjorn’s works were featured in the Kokufu-ten, Sakufu-ten and Taikanten exhibitions, among many others.
DEBRA PRINZING is a Seattle-based writer, speaker and leading advocate for American Grown Flowers. She produces SlowFlowers.com, the online directory to American-grown farms, florists, shops and studios that supply domestic and local flowers; hosts the Slow Flowers Podcast; and is a Florists’ Review contributing editor, for which she produces the “Slow Flowers Journal” section. She is the creator of American Flowers Week, which launched in 2015. She is a 2016 inductee to the Garden Writers Association Hall of Fame and the author of 10 books, including “Slow Flowers” and “The 50 Mile Bouquet.”
