Join the Gardens in celebrating Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, with an exploration of the symbolism of monarch butterflies and the iconic and elegant female figure known as La Catrina.

Glow at the Gardens

Oct. 17, 18, 23, 24 & 25, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
The Gardens dresses up for Halloween with luminaria-lined pathways, spooky lighting displays and hundreds of carved, glowing gourds. All pumpkins are real and are harvested from local farms. Limited tickets available.

Ghosts in the Gardens

Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays; Oct. 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28: 6-8 p.m. and 8:30-10:30 p.m.
Tour through the Gardens after dark and hear spine-tingling stories of the Gardens’ haunted history. Limited tickets available.

Cub Scout Exploration Day

Sunday, Oct. 7, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
All levels of Cub Scouts are invited to spend a day at the Gardens exploring plants as they prepare for the changing season. Visit the Gardens with your pack or as a family and investigate the story a tree can tell, admire the beauty of fall leaves and plant seeds to take home.

Family Workshop: Traditions of Día de los Muertos - Sugar Skulls

Sunday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. – noon and 2-4 p.m.
Learn how to make and decorate sugar skulls as you discover the cultural significance of these important icons. Each person can make and take home two sugar skulls. Classes are designed for families with children ages 5-10.

Night at the Museums

Denver Botanic Gardens and more than 20 of Denver's world-class museums open their doors for FREE at this once-a-year event. Thanks to free shuttles that run throughout the evening between the participating museums, you can experience a variety of incredible attractions all in one night.

Chatfield Farms

Corn Maze

Fridays-Sundays, Sept. 21 Oct. 28: various times
Bring the family and get lost in our 7-acre maze (there is no Corn Maze at York Street). Includes activities for all ages, mini-maze (10 & under), food vendors and more.

After Dark Corn Maze

Oct. 5-28, various dates and times
The lights are out in Corn Maze and brave visitors can find their way through with only the light of a glow stick. This maze is not haunted.

Dead Zone Scream Park

Oct. 5-28, various dates and times
Includes admission to Corn Stalkers Haunted Maze and After Dark Maze. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Enjoy Fear Flicks! Pull up a hay bale and take a seat while you enjoy some of your favorite horror flicks with new films showing every week.

Pumpkin Festival
