April 26, 2016 | Melissa Gula, Manager of Family & Children’s Programs

Looking for a fun indoor activity for the whole family this weekend? Join the Gardens in celebrating Children’s Day on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Children’s Day is a global celebration, observed by different countries around the world on various days. Mexico celebrates Children’s Day, or Día del Niño, on April 30, with exciting festivities that expose children to culture, spur creative expression and highlight their importance in society. Similarly, Japan observes Children’s Day, or Kodomo no Hi (こどもの日), on May 5 to celebrate the happiness and joy of children.

The indoor spaces of the Gardens will be filled with cultural activities and demonstrations for the whole family. All activities are included with admission and children 15 and under are admitted free! Use promo code CHDAY16 at checkout to take advantage of this offer.
