We have temporarily closed all Denver Botanic Gardens locations. Denver Botanic Gardens’ response to COVID-19
Did you know that the Gardens has a trips and travel program that features an array of different opportunities to travel with our staff and instructors regionally, nationally, and internationally? Well if you didn’t, keep us in mind as your make your travel plans!
This year our education staff has put together a variety of trips - from backpacking and viewing wildflowers to checking out the work of Dale Chihuly in Seattle.
- The month of July will offer the “Gardens to Glass Tour” of Seattle and a Mount Zirkel backpacking trip led by two members of our horticulture staff.
- August will offer two different trips to Crested Butte, Colorado, organized in partnership with the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival. The first trip will feature farm to fork cooking classes, garden tours, and of course, wildflower viewing with popular instructor Susan Evans. The second trip will consist of a botanical hike from Crested Butte to Aspen – some say the most stunning landscape in all of Colorado and definitely a “bucket list” item!
- As fall sets in in September, join ecologist Sheridan Samano for a trip to see fall foliage and wildlife in Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park.
Check out our Trips and Travel page for specific dates, more detailed descriptions and itineraries, and to register. This page is also the place to explore international travel opportunities, like the January 2015 trip to South Africa with Panayoti Kelaidis.
