We are currently developing a Phenology Trail in Colorado. A Phenology Trail is a network of observation sites. Linked together, these sites provide the participant with places to visit, enjoy nature, collect data, and learn about supporting organizations. We are partnering with other organizations to develop a group of sites throughout Colorado, including Denver Botanic Gardens locations, to collect phenology data and learn about native species and the diversity of habitats in our state.
We hope to have the first set of sites up and running in 2013, with additional sites added in 2014. Please check back to find out more information about this project as it develops.
To learn about Phenology Trails and how they are being implemented in other areas, check out a pilot trail that the USA National Phenology Network has established.
