The Gardens & Cherry Blossoms of our Nation's Capital

The great city of Washington D.C. truly blossoms in the spring. Go beyond the traditional tourist stops to see truly beautiful and inspiring gardens in all different parts of the city. This trip will coincide with the blooming of the famous cherry blossom trees and the National Cherry Blossom Festival. We'll also visit the U.S. Botanic Gardens, the U.S. National Arboretum, and some lesser known garden gems.
Sample itinerary, subject to change:
Thursday PM: arrive and check in at hotel, have dinner with group.
Friday: visit and take tours of the U.S. Botanic Gardens, the U.S. National Arboretum, and the Association of Landscape Architects' green roof. Visit the American Horticultural Society's River Farm and have dinner in historic downtown Alexandria, VA.
Saturday: visit the Tidal Basin to view and photograph the cherry blossoms. Take a lunch time cruise on the Potomac to see the Monuments and cherry blossoms from a different view. Visit Dumbarton Oaks in Georgetown, followed by dinner.
Sunday: breakfast with group and depart.
Trip price includes lodging, breakfast, lunch, transportation around the city, and all tour fees and admission fees. Trip price does not include airfare or dinners.

A $250 deposit is due upon registration. Deposit will be refundable thirty days prior to trip, remaining balance will be due after that.
