Kundalini Yoga - Single Session
Monday, March 11, 2013 - 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Kundalini Yoga focuses on awakening your energy and unlocking your inner potential through specific breathing, movements, stretching, meditation and mantra.
This ancient and sacred practice is the oldest form of Yoga, kept secret by advanced yogis until recently. As taught by Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D., Master of Kundalini Yoga, this powerful and effective form of Yoga is a great way to recharge and heal your body quickly.
A typical Kundalini yoga class will start and end with the most beautiful and ancient chants which open and calm the heart. Then we proceed with a carefully planned sequence of postures, movements and breathing exercises, called a kriya, that bring about quick and powerful transformation on all levels. How? By stimulating the nervous and immune systems, while improving strength and flexibility, as it centers the mind and opens the spirit.
From your very first class, you'll reap the rewards, including relief from back pain, stress, addiction, depression and insomnia, and weight control. Kundalini Yoga promises you peace of mind. Elevate and experience yourself through this ancient science!
All levels welcome, no experience required. Each session is unique; we recommend that you try at least two or three sessions. Please bring water and a yoga mat. If you have trouble sitting on the floor for extended periods of time please bring a blanket and pillows to help with comfort.
During the warm season the class will be held outdoors! It is a beautiful place to practice your yoga! Classes will still meet in Morrison Center and then move outdoors.
Single session: $8 member, $10 non-member
