
Camps
The Gardens has camps for kids only that are full of garden explorations, games, activities, cooking and plants to take home. Week-long camps are offered during summer break and spring break. One day mini-camps are available on school holidays.
Families can enjoy camping out in the Mordecai Children's Garden. A variety of different campout styles are offered including groups, families and kids only.
Family Camps
Children can dig into the Gardens with various camps as they explore, discover and investigate the world of plants. Or you can gather the family together on the first Saturday of each month, April to October, for a unique opportunity to explore nature at night in the Mordecai Children’s Garden. Pack your sleeping bag for an urban campout in the Mordecai Children’s Garden next summer.
Garden Camps
Dig into the Gardens for a week as you explore, discover and investigate the world of plants. Each camp is full of garden explorations, games, activities, cooking and plants to take home. Ages 6-12
Cottonwood Camps
Pack your sleeping bag for an urban campout in the Mordecai Children’s Garden. Pitch your tent next to Springmelt Stream in the Mist-ery Forest. Experience the allure of the great outdoors as you look for life in the pond, practice your orienteering skills, watch the sunset and eat s’mores by the campfire. A variety of different campout styles are offered including groups, families and kids only.

Mini Camp: Flowers to Honey
Spend a day at the Gardens exploring the world of bees. We’ll have time for play, crafts and culinary arts as we have a honey taste test, plant a bee garden and create our own sweet honey treats.
Spring Break Camp: Garden Explorers
Get ready for a fun week of exploration, crafts and culinary arts as you spend your spring break taking advantage of all the Gardens has to offer.
Summer Camp: Junior Master Gardeners
Learn what it takes to grow and maintain a garden. Investigate the wonders of plant growth and soil structure, and design and plant a garden.
Late Pick-Up for Camp
Summer Camp: Art in the Garden
Awaken your passion for drawing, sculpting, painting, cooking, gardening and the art of science. We’ll explore the work of local Colorado artists as you uncover your artistic skills.
