FIND THE PERFECT PUMPKIN AT THE PUMPKIN FESTIVAL AT DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS AT CHATFIELD

DENVER—Thousands of pumpkins will be ripe for the picking in the 10-acre pumpkin patch at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield on Saturday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
 
Many activities will surround the search for that perfect jack o’ lantern or pumpkin pie gourd, including exciting children’s activities, hayrides and dozens of vendors offering unique crafts and concessions. Barrel train rides will delight the kids, while adults can peruse the 1860s historical homestead located on the Chatfield grounds. The homestead includes a one-room schoolhouse and a working farm, complete with goats, chickens and sheep.
 
The average cost of a pumpkin is $6 (price is determined by size).

Admission for members and non-members:
$5 Adult/Senior/Student with ID
$3 Child
$4 Member Adult
$2 Member Child
Children in costume admitted free (ages 3-15)

Proceeds from the event will support the Gardens’ conservation and education programs.

Admission to the Pumpkin Festival does not include the Corn Maze.

Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield is located at 8500 Deer Creek Canyon Road in Littleton. Take I-25 south to C-470 west and exit on Wadsworth Blvd. Proceed south for ½ mile to the stoplight at Deer Creek Canyon Road. Turn right and drive ¼ mile. Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield is on the left.

A shift in seasons is bringing significant change to Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield:

Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield - new amphitheatre re-grade

  • A new amphitheatre is being
    re-graded to provide a better experience for concert-goers with new grass, a wildflower meadow and shade trees. A permanent stage is being built and will be completed in time for the 2009 concert season.
