From Denver (East):
- 32.4 miles west on US Interstate 70 to Idaho Springs and take the Mount Evans exit (#240)
- 15 miles south on State 103 from Idaho Springs to Mount Evans* Entrance
- 2.9 miles to Mount Goliath lower trailhead parking area (11,540 feet), and the Dos Chappell Nature Center is located 2.9 miles from the Mount Evans Entrance to Summit
- 1.9 miles to M. Walter Pesman Alpine Trail** & upper trailhead parking
From Dillon (West):
- 36 miles east on US Interstate 70 to Idaho Springs (through Eisenhower Tunnel) and take the Mount Evans exit (#240)
- 15 miles south on State 103 from Idaho Springs to Mount Evans* Entrance
- 2.9 miles to Mount Goliath lower trailhead parking area (11,540 feet), and the Dos Chappell Nature Center is located 2.9 miles from the Mount Evans Entrance to Summit
- 1.9 miles to M. Walter Pesman Alpine Trail** & upper trailhead parking
*It is 15 miles from Mount Evans Scenic Byway entrance to Mount Evans Summit at 14,264 feet.
**FREE GUIDED WILDFLOWER HIKES: Take exit 240 from I-70 in Idaho Springs and turn left at the stop sign. Follow Highway 103 south until it meets Echo Lake, turn off onto Highway 5 (the Mount Evans Byway) and take an immediate left into the parking lot just before the fee station. Please meet the trail guides in front of the kiosk titled "Mount Evans Scenic Byway" located adjacent to the parking lot.
