Our events calendar is jam-packed with special exhibits and some of the most hotly anticipated happenings of the year. Click the links below to find more information on each event or exhibit. These events are managed by the Denver Botanic Gardens' special events staff.

  • Urban Nature: The Gardens' 2008 signature exhibition explores the intersection of the urban environment and the natural world.
  • Art Exhibits: mind expanding (and fun) exhibits, free with general admission!
  • Spring Plant Sale: kicking off the spring season with more than 85,000 plants for sale.
  • Mother's Day at Denver Botanic Gardens: Spoil mom with a picnic and live entertainment.
  • Sustainability Fair: On Sunday, April 20, the Green Team at Denver Botanic Gardens hosted the first Gardens' Sustainability Fair.
  • Celebrating Wildflowers: Learn more about our free wildflower hikes this May.
  • Summer Concert Series: Our guaranteed-to-sell-out music series in the amphitheater is among the most popular music events in Colorado. Enjoy crystal clear music from some of the world's most sought after artists in the company of thousands of blooming plants.
  • Fitness Walks and T'ai Chi: Connect with your inner self and get some exercise in spectacular surroundings.
  • Birdhaus Bash: Birdhouses decorated by local artists and celebrities are auctioned off to support youth education and adult tour guide programs at the Gardens.
  • Technology Day: Find out how the Gardens is embracing technology through a panel discussion, Wi-Fi at the Gardens, redesigned Web site, attend a Virtual Field Trip, see product demonstrations and more.
  • Fête des Fleurs: An elegant, black tie dinner-dance and auction for members.
  • Corn Maze: Get lost in our gigantic 8.5-acre Corn Maze at Chatfield--one of the most popular mazes in the country!
  • Haunted House: Lurk through the new haunted house at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. Go to both the Corn Maze and "The Butcher" haunted house and take a free spin in the Black Hole.
  • Fall Plant & Bulb Sale: Our hugely popular sale offers an incredible selection of bulbs and winter gardening items. Our experts will be on hand to offer advice.
  • Pumpkin Festival: Thousands of pumpkins will be ripe for the picking just in time for Halloween at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.
  • Holiday Sale will start this year’s holiday season with a wide variety of handcrafted gifts you won’t find at the mall. Also choose from a beautiful array of holiday plants ranging from poinsettias to wreaths.
  • Trail of Lights: With the Colorado foothills as a backdrop, more than one million twinkling lights will illuminate the beauty of a charming forest path at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.

A shift in seasons is bringing significant change to Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield:

  • A new amphitheatre is being
    re-graded to provide a better experience for concert-goers with new grass, a wildflower meadow and shade trees. Construction on a permanent stage begins soon and will be completed in time for the 2009 concert season.

Deer Creek Discovery children’s area at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield

  • And check out our new Deer Creek Discovery children’s area, which includes a whimsical tree house and a water feature in which children can play! This area is scheduled for completion next month.
