Homeschool Day: The Cellular Science of Plants

Plants are more than just roots, stems, leaves and flowers! Look beyond the obvious plant parts and explore on a deeper level as we investigate plant cells and their processes. Discover what makes a plant cell unique, explore photosynthesis and learn how plants "breathe" through their leaves.

Homeschool Days offer families the opportunity to explore plant-based themes through a variety of hands-on explorations and take-home projects that children and their grown ups complete together. These self-guided and self-paced programs are set up with several activity stations throughout the Gardens for families to explore the day's topic.
