Although microbes are by definition minute, they play critical roles in ecosystems worldwide. In this talk, Gardens adjunct researcher Dr. Scott Thomas Bates will discuss the astonishing array of microbial diversity, the function of microbes in ecosystems, as well as reasons for appreciating the importance of the “unseen” microbial world.
