Pollinators are vital to the creation of many plant-based foods, beverages, medicines and fabrics. They also help create and maintain the habitats and ecosystems that many animals rely on for food and shelter.

The Gardens strives to provide habitats for and information about important pollinators such as birds, bees, butterflies and other insects.

Pollinator-related classes, activities and booths for young and old alike are featured at York Street and Chatfield Farms. Learn how to fight garden diseases and pests without harming pollinators, learn how to do the honeybee’s waggle dance, taste honey or take a class in which you build and take home a bee hotel.

During your visit to Pollinator Week, access a full schedule and map of activities at York Street on your smartphone or tablet by visiting gardentool.info.
