picking up pumpkins at denver botanic gardens at chatfieldThousands of pumpkins will be ripe for the picking from our 10-acre pumpkin patch at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. Come search for the perfect jack o' lantern or pumpkin pie gourd for all your Halloween and fall festivities! Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield will be filled with exciting children's activities and vendors selling handcrafted gifts.

Experience ghost tours of the 1860s historical homestead located on the Chatfield grounds. The homestead includes a working farm complete with goats, chickens and sheep. Also be sure to stop by Deer Creek Discovery, a children’s play area that features a whimsical tree house and water feature.

After you buy your pumpkins, take them to the free Pumpkin Daycare, so you can walk around and enjoy the rest of the festival. While at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, make it a full day of family fun and stop by the spectacular Corn Maze right next door.*

Saturday & Sunday, Oct. 9 & 10

Times:
9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day

Admission for members and nonmembers:
$5 Adult/Senior/Student with ID
$3 Child
$4 Member Adult
$2 Member Child
Children in costume admitted free (ages 3-12)

  • Activities included in admission: Pony rides, face painting, balloon animals, ghost tours (10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon & 1 p.m.), pumpkin decorating, many fun family photo opportunities, make-and-take Halloween ornaments, monster coloring murals, monster popcorn hands, pumpkin ball toss, tours of antique John Deere & farm equipment, Deer Creek Discovery play area, plus entrance to craft vendor area
  • Additional fees: Food & drink, carnival rides, pumpkins, gourds, barrel train rides, plus vendor items
  • On Oct. 9 and 10 between 9 a.m and 5 p.m. you will need to purchase a ticket to the Pumpkin Festival in order to attend the Corn Maze*.
     

Price of pumpkins determined by size. The average cost of a pumpkin is $6. Please bring your own wagon for your pumpkin purchase.
*Admission to the Pumpkin Festival does not include the Corn Maze. Information about our Corn Maze.
