Denver Botanic Gardens education tourAdult group tours led by volunteer tour guides and professional experts are available at our York Street location. Groups must have a minimum of six people; groups of 10 or more receive a discount on full-price admission to the Gardens. E-mail tours@botanicgardens.org or call 720-865-3539 to make a reservation (must be made at least three weeks
in advance).

  • DROP-IN TOURS 
    (Weekends)
    Year round
    Experience a one-hour guided tour of the Gardens at York Street on weekends. Please call our Information Desk at 720-865-3585 to find out which tour time will be offered on the day you plan to visit. Tours are included in the price of admission.
    April through September: 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 3 p.m
    March through October: 11 a.m. or 1 p.m.
    Tours are based on guide availability.
  • OUTDOOR GARDENS TOURS
    April through September
    Wander among alpine wildflowers, stroll through an Asian steppe and become enchanted by tranquil water gardens. Explore these diverse plant collections and our powerful connection to them.
     
  • BOETTCHER MEMORIAL TROPICAL CONSERVATORY TOURS
    October through March
    The Boettcher Tropical Conservatory, a state-of-the-art architectural piece and Denver landmark, is home to more than 550 plant species representing the flora and richness of the world’s rainforests. You will learn what makes rainforests unique and the importance of their preservation.
     
  • TOURS WITH THE EXPERTS
    June through September
    Members of the Gardens’ world-renowned horticulture staff are passionate about plants and our mission to connect people with plants. Managing more than 32,000 living plant taxa, their wealth of knowledge spans tropical plants to native and xeric plants – including gardening in challenging environments. This tour is designed to enrich the visitor through direct interaction with a horticulturist.

  • "MOORE IN THE GARDENS" DROP-IN TOURS
    March 2010 through January 2011 (Weekends at 1 p.m.)
    Discover the beauty and simplicity of these monumental art pieces in a setting of natural splendor. Tours can be scheduled privately for groups of 10 or more, or are available on a drop-in basis on Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m. and are included with admission.

    GUIDED TOURS

    Experienced tour guides help visitors discover the beauty, simplicity and genius of Moore’s monumental art pieces in a natural setting. Schedule a "Moore in the Gardens" guided tour to experience the serenity and graceful balance of the artwork among roses, grasses, wildflowers and trees.
     
  • "MOORE IN THE GARDENS" CURATOR WALKS SERIES
    May through October
    individual tour fee $15 member/$18 non-member; series fee $70 member/$80 non-member

    See Henry Moore through the eyes of those well-acquainted with his work. Ask questions, exchange views and acquire basic principles that will help you appreciate Moore in a new light. Curator walks are led by local and international experts on Moore’s work. Walks are one hour long, subject to weather, and space is limited.

  • EXPERIENCE A DAY OF MOORE
    June through September
    Registrants spend a day at the Gardens surrounded by all that "Moore in the Gardens" has to offer. Start with an exhibition tour led by experienced guides and continue with a delicious lunch prepared and served by Catering by Design, our award-winning caterer. Visitors then release their inner artist as they participate in a photography or sculpture workshop taught by locally renowned instructors. This is an all-day program starting at 9 am. Space is limited. Dates to be announced.
