general self-guided school visits

Groups are welcome to visit Denver Botanic Gardens at any time. Whether you have your own curriculum to follow or you just want your class to enjoy the beauty of our gardens, a self-guided general visit may be the perfect way for your class to explore the Gardens.

Reservations:
Reservations for self-guided general visits must be made at least two weeks in advance. Groups must have an advance reservation to qualify for school group rates (see below) Groups who show up without a reservation will not qualify for the school group rates and will be charged standard admission. To schedule a general visit, please call 720-865-3580. Shortly after you make your reservation, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with information for your arrival at the Gardens and behavior while inside the Gardens. Please be sure to read our general information before your field trip.

Cost:
Self-guided visits cost $1 per student for schools within the SCFD, $3 per student for schools outside the SCFD.  One adult chaperone (parent or teacher) for every five students is admitted free of charge. Extra adults must pay $6.50 each, no exceptions.

These activity worksheets will encourage careful observation of the Gardens by your students and will provide direction for their visit. Please feel free to print out these worksheets and copy as many as you need for your group.

We know that gardening can be
challenging given Denver
