fête des fleurs
On August 27, Denver Botanic Gardens' members and guests will gather for the Fête des Fleurs. The elegant, black tie dinner-dance is widely considered Denver's premier summer social event. On this evening, the Gardens opens its gates exclusively for Fête des Fleurs guests to enjoy leisurely strolls through the Gardens while sampling cocktails and scrumptious hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be dining 'al fresco' under a tent, and dancing to the sounds of a live band caps off the evening. Enjoy the beauty of the magnificent Henry Moore sculptures which will be enhanced by lighting as the evening progresses. Be among the first to see inside the new Greenhouse Complex, including the Orangery and Marnie’s Pavilion.
All proceeds from the Fête des Fleurs contribute to the Gardens' Annual Fund. The Annual Fund supports general operations and proceeds are used in the areas of greatest need for horticultural displays, education, outreach, research and conservation programs.
The 2010 Fête des Fleurs committee is planning a beautiful and elegant evening to celebrate the glorious abundance of flowers that grace the Gardens in late summer.
